HK 3770 is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice sound I bought this for the phono plug and it was worth it. Nice sound. I'm running JBL L100's & L36's out of the back & playing both together. Easier to use than the audio/video series of stereos that they sell (I have them too). I like this Harman better than any of the others that I own (have a few).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great product mine doesn't cut off for no reason, or get hot at -35 db to -45 db. also it has an internal cooling fan that kicks on at higher volumes -10 to +10 db. (max volume) it pushes my jvc 15 (sp-7700) speakers (8 ohms) and a set of bose 701 all (6 ohms) at once. only reason it would cut out is if your ohms rating is wrong for the stereo. (6-8ohms) 2 or 4 ohms is too much resistance and 16 ohms is not enough and will not play as loud. i love this amp i am one to put it to the test playing it full blast for hours, and it holds up very well. yes it will cut out if you crank it up for 5 mins turn it down 30 seconds then turn it up back and forth. fan cuts off when you turn it down and if you turn it up right away it does not give enough cool down time before fan turns back on... so if you gonna do it loud keep it loud or leave it down for about 10 mins between sudden bursts. (thats with all audio systems though) older systems did not have self protect mode from heat. and i cant speak for the older hk model cause i don't have one i got the hk3770. which was an upgrade from my pioneer 1986 yeah sa-1270. electronics are all sensitive!!!! this is a bi amp capable amp for bi amp speakers or you can run 2 sets that are not bi amped

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good affordable high current amplifier! Excellent receiver! The only thing I consider important that need to be said is that you need to get the update from harman pardon european site version V000.17 it comes with V000.16 and it adds Balance controls in the tone control button of the remote controller It is in th download section at then end, unzip the file and you will find a pdf with all the instructions to install this very important upgrade http://eu.harmankardon.com/harman-kardon-product-support-detail-eu/hk-3770.html

I love Harman products! I have an older H-K receiver with two midsize Infinity bookshelf speakers and a large Infinity subwoofer. The speakers still sound great, but I'd consider updating the receiver. Would Infinitys do well with the 3770?

Asked by: Considering
I'm glad you love our products. The HK3770 can drive up to 120W to a 6/8-ohm load speaker. So as long as your Infinitys are rated at 6/8 ohm and can handle up to 120W of RMS power, they will work great with the HK3770.

Asked by: peter j
To wirelessly stream audio to the HK 3770 from a Bluetooth-enabled device using the front panel control or the remote control: 1. Press the Bluetooth button. 2. Press the Menu button. 3. Select the Option menu using the Up and Down navigation buttons and press OK. 4. Press OK when the Force pairing message appears. 5. Use the Bluetooth pairing menu from the device you want to connect to the HK3770. The system will appear as HK3770_BT in the list of Bluetooth available devices. If you want to connect a different or new device, you will need to restart the whole procedure. Also, please try forgetting/un-pairing the HK3770 on your iPhone 6 before reconnecting.

Hello, I'd be interested in any info on an AVR 247, including when it was in production, brief specs and price range. I'm looking at one for sale, used, and could use this info. Thanks, Jeff

I have an old pair of Polk Audio monitor 10b speakers, 6 ohm, will this receiver run those ok? How is the bass output from this receiver? Just tried an Onkyo tx 8160 very weak to these speakers. How would i run Pandora on this HK. Yamaha rs700 vs. HK?

Asked by: DGC1
Yes it will run fine but it will not play the full capacity of the speakers. The Polk Audio Monitor 10B has a recommended amplifier power of 20-250W at 6-ohms. The HK 3770 can produce power of up to 120W per channel at 6/8-ohms. The Onkyo TX-8160 is almost the same with 110W at 6-ohms. It will slightly sound better with the HK3770 than with the Onkyo receiver. As for the bass output, the Polk speakers will not play any bass frequency below 25Hz even if the HK3770 can provide 10Hz bass output. To play Pandora, you may connect it either via Bluetooth or through a 3.5mm to RCA adapter for a wired connection. The Yamaha A-S700 is rated at 150W at 6-ohms, it will produce more power than the HK3770.

Hi , I'm using HK 3770. It is really very nice product but I have some question about support for non latin symbols. I cannot use Ukrainian names for folders from USB and network (DLNA). Could you add support for currylic characters?

Asked by: aperey
Unfortunately, the HK 3770 does not have the capacity to install language packs.
