Wirelessly stream audio to any entertainment system.

Sometimes you want your favorite music to fill the room, not just your headphones. And if your home entertainment system already has Bluetooth® capability, you can wirelessly stream audio from a portable device (for instance, your smartphone or tablet). But what if your system isn’t equipped with Bluetooth technology? Not a problem. The Harman Kardon® BTA 10 external Bluetooth adapter connects directly to your entertainment system and enables you to stream audio wirelessly into the system from any Bluetooth-equipped portable device. The BTA 10’s HARMAN TrueStream™ technology means that its wireless audio connection to your entertainment system will be the highest quality possible – no matter what source device is supplying the audio. For your convenience, the BTA 10 has an LED indicator light that blinks as it searches for your Bluetooth-equipped device and stays steadily lit when it’s paired up successfully. The BTA 10 even comes with cables so that you can hook it up to your entertainment system. From home systems to portable speakers to speaker docks, the BTA 10 Bluetooth adapter adds wireless streaming capability to any audio system with a stereo 3.5mm aux input or stereo RCA inputs.

BTA 10 is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from wonderful unit Quality of sound is pretty good. Even though the set up was straight forward, it would help to have a few line of instructions in the manual.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small, Simple, turns anythng to Bluetooth device I've personally purchased twenty or more of the BTA-10's over time.. at least ten are active around the house and in my (older) cars. Family have the rest.. and love them too. BTA-10 is simple, small and does just what it's supposed to do.. bring older tech devices into the Bluetooth world. My only gripe, and it's in NO way a game changer... to date we cant change the SSID broadcast name.. it's always BTA-10.. so when you have more than one in the same vicinity it might be a bit confusing which to connect to. Most modern BT devices allow re-naming the BTA-10 their connecting to.. i.e. Kitchen, Den, Car1, etc.. but the SSID cant change .. yet :) GREAT DEVICE..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very simple to hook-up & operate I am very happy with this product: simple to use and easy no reading through endless instructions. You simply hook-up power & input, go on your Bluetooth phone and its' there! No guessing...

How to I make my computer make my bta 10 to the bta 10 on my receiver?

Asked by: gaaw
If you're talking about compatibility wise your BTA 10 is compatible with your AVR as long as you use the supplied 3.5mm Jack to RCA (L/R) and connect it to the Analog 1/2 L/R accordingly. Configure your receivers source setup so you can get the audio out of the BTA 10. Refer to your receivers owner's manual to get the procedure on setting up the source. If you have further questions, please submit a case at www.harmankardon.com/support-contact.html and the Customer Service team will be more than happy to further assist you.

Hello there, My TV has bluetooth feature on audio output. I can choose the bluetooth device. Will it work if I take this product?

Asked by: milkertastan
If your TV has Bluetooth and is able to connect to other sources, the BTA 10 is not needed. The BTA 10 simply provides Bluetooth connectivity to devices (powered speakers and amps) that cannot receive a wireless signal. It is not designed to transmit a wireless audio signal from one source device (TV/computer) to an external device (speaker/headphones).

Will the BTA-10 device pair with a Bluetooth headset (that has both mic & speaker) so I can send my VOICE TO the BTA-10 in order to distribute to my audio receiver (with RCA inputs)?

Asked by: Splashgordo
No. You cannot connect a Bluetooth headset to the BTA-10. Unlike smart devices (phones and tablets), Bluetooth headsets do not have a display nor an interface to select/pair to the BTA-10

I have two BTA10 adapters.  One in my home and one in a vacation home.  Is there a way to change the name that appears in the Bluetooth window so I can keep them straight?

Asked by: Briansa
There is no option to rename the device on the BTA10 itself. However, on Android devices only, you can change the names within your phone/table via the Bluetooth settings menu. Simply tap on the paired device, in this case the BTA10, and from there you will have the option to rename it.

My iphone6 cannot pair with my BTA 10, none of the devices in my house will connect. Is there something that I am missing?

Asked by: cpac22
When the BTA-10 is powered On, it automatically goes into pairing mode (LED glows slowly). Please try going into your device and forgetting the BTA10. Then shut the phone down, completely OFF. Then boot the phone back up and completely shut it down a second time. This will allow the phone to go through an entire on/off cycle without ever seeing the BTA10, removing any remnants of the BTA10 connection. Now boot the phone up one more time and pair it with the BTA10 again. This should fix your issue. If it does not, please submit a case at www.harmankardon.com/support-contact.html and the Customer Service team will be more than happy to further assist you.
