Esquire 2 is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Form Follows Function I bought this fine Bluetooth speaker at a cellphone provider and after listening to the quality of sound, purchased it immediately. I didn't have a choice of colors but that wasn't important. I like the quick and easy Bluetooth connection from all of my electronic devices. One of the best options on the Esquire 2 is the addition of a very good carrying case. This adds protection and gives the Esquire 2 a more distinguished look of eloquence and produces a "Form Follows Function admiration.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small form factor and a great output How can I establish a wired connection with my desktop to use Microphone as well as speakers both? I am using ASUS X99 Deluxe motherboard and it has several connection options and that's confusing me a little bit. I read in some answers below it's recommended to use 3.5mm jack with 3 rings(aka TRSS or 4 pole cable). Does the cable on the PC end need to have a splitter, so that it can go in the line-in and mic-in ports of the motherboard(ASUS X99 deluxe)? If possible please provide a full description or the name of the cable. Thanks!

Hi there, I have purchased this as well as a 4-pole male 3.5mm jack to female MIC and Audio 3.5mm jacks. The sound output works but the computer is not getting any MIC signal. The computer shows a MIC is connected but it will not pick up anything.

Asked by: Kyle Farr
The ESQUIRE 2 is not designed to be connected to any third party microphone. The ESQUIRE 2 has its own built-in microphone to use for phone calls.

Can you ensure me that if i always keep the speaker plugged in,will not harm the battery after a certain period of time?Is this a certain fact or is a supposition?Best regards

Asked by: Alex Jianu
This is a fact. Newer batteries, similar with those in the ESQUIRE 2 have its own limiters to ensure that the unit does not get “over-charged”. When the unit is fully charged and is being used while plugged in, the ESQUIRE 2 will run off the AC/power instead of its battery.

Hi, anyone knows the default BT password to connect? I've tried 000 and 1234 without result. Thanks in advance!

Asked by: SanBre
Please try to use "0000", this normally works. If it doesn't please remove the ESQUIRE 2 from your device's list and reset your speaker. Simply press and hold Volume + & phone button at the same time. When the unit is reset, it will power off, and turn on the unit again, and it is reset. I noticed you are in Netherlands. If this doesn't help, please submit a case at https://www.harmankardon.nl/support-contact.html#ns and the Customer Service team will be more than happy to further assist you.

It took about 3 months for my battery to die. It currently works for 30-35 mins after being fully charged. Is there any information of how can I change it by myself, because I think there are no any official dealers of Harman/Kardon in Kazakhstan?

Asked by: Dewken
You mentioned you are in Kazakhstan. Please contact the store where you purchased the Esquire 2 and they should be able to help, or at least guide you to the people who can for your warranty options.

Can I get sound through the USB from my computer? In other words can I connect with just a USB on a Mac and use this device or do I also need a second 3.5mm headphone jack wire?

Asked by: Business User
The USB port on the ESQUIRE 2 is only used for charging other mobile devices and cannot be used to stream audio from any source. If you would like to use the speaker with your computer, you would need to use a 3.5mm AUX cable or if your computer is capable of audio streaming via Bluetooth then you can connect the speaker via Bluetooth as well.
