Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Sound. I wasn't expecting that. I bought this speaker shopping around Christmas time and it was on special because the next model was about to fill the shelves. I was expecting it to make a little noise but when I connected it very simply to my phone through Bluetooth and turned it up I was blown away by the clear sound and deep bass. I certainly was not expecting what I was hearing and will highly recommend this to someone that doesn't want to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on a stereo system. And also perfect for people that dont live in a big house but live in an apartment complex and dont have the space for a big system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow, what great sound I bought this speaker so I could play music at my son's wedding reception. It was in a large culture hall and I told the sales person what I was doing and he recommended the Onyx Studio 2. I purchased it and let me tell you, NO REGRETS! I had people comment all night what great sound that little speaker had. Great high end and base. Best Bluetooth speaker ever. You will be blown away!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from onyx studio 2 I got this speaker a week ago and it sounds awesome the base is incredible, the durability is perfectly fine haven't had any problems with this speaker. The battery life is good I have heard that it isn't very good but my speaker lasts quite a while. Over all I think this speaker is a great option if you are looking for portable speakers and sounds much better than other alternatives.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing sound Ive been using this for my backyear BBQ's and it sounds amazing. It fills the whole backyard with quality sound. My friend had the Onyx Studio 1 without the Aux input but I like this one much better since it has a 3.5mm jack so that saves on some battery and the sound quality is better. Best Bluetooth speaker on the market.

How can I use the 3.5mm audio Jack on the speaker to connect it to my tv, it made an odd noise when I connect the two. And how can I do the same for my laptop because the speaker did the same thing then too.

Asked by: Daidog
If by "odd" noise you mean that yo heard a bit of buzzing when you connected the 3.5mm cable to the speaker, then that would mean that either the cable or the 3.5mm AUX port on the speaker is experiencing a bit of a "short" which creates the buzzing sound. Try using a different cable and make sure to plug the cable all the way in on the speakers AUX port before connecting it to either your computer or TV.

When I plugged in my new unit in OFF mode, there is no light to indicate charging. I then charged it while switched ON for 5 hrs but I did not get 1 hour of play before the power indicator light started flashing quickly and then shut down. Is this normal?

Asked by: Jibs
The ONYX STUDIO 2 when powered ON would show an indication that the unit is charging. However, if the unit is switched OFF there would be no LED indication that it is charging. If the unit is fully charged and you are still experiencing the same thing, please do submit an email case to www.harmankardon.com/contactus for the warranty on your speakers.

What is the procedure to fully charge the battery? as fully charged the battery? the speaker turns off after a few minutes without the current source, that is? the equipment is damaged?

Asked by: Deimer Mauricio Mosquera
The ONYX STUDIO 2's charging time is 5 hours. When the ONYX Studio 2 is charging the power button will flash (1 sec interval), and would stop flashing when fully charged. If the speaker turns off after a few minutes when unplugged from the wall, it sounds like it didn't hold a charge. Try plugging it in directly on a working power outlet in order to ensure that the issue is caused by a defect in the ONYX STUDIO 2. If it doesn't help, it may have developed a fault. But there is another possibility as well. If there are no lights on, let's assume it is fully charged. Now you connect to it and start playing music, and it shuts off after 10 minutes. It is very likely that this is the unit going into auto on/off standby mode. Here's how it works. The auto on/off feature is based on audio signal. If it sees and audio signal present, it turns on and starts playing music. If it does not see any audio present for 10 minutes, it shuts off and goes into standby. So, if you have the volume on the ONYX STUDIO 2 cranked up, and the volume on your portable device set really low, it is very possible that the ONYX STUDIO 2 is not seeing enough of an audio signal to know to stay on. Please try turning the volume on the ONYX down a bit, and then crank up the volume on your device to get to the level you desire. This will send a hotter signal to the ONYX and it should stay on without any issue. I noticed you're in Colombia. If none of these things work, please contact the store where you purchased it and they will be able to help, or at least guide you to the people that can help.

I'm having trouble with a hard-wired aux input playing through my onyx 2. What would be the cause? Do I have to cancel any connections with other devices?

Asked by: Mykicks
The ONYX STUDIO 2, once switched ON, will search for the last device that it was connected to via Bluetooth. If you have a device connected via hardwired AUX cable, and there are instances that your connection gets cut off, you might want to switch the Bluetooth off on the devices that you have paired the speaker with and just stick to the AUX connection that you have with the device you are currently using with the speaker.

Hello, I am trying to connect my hk studio 2 with my laptop - Lenovo X250, the laptop is able to find the hk through bluetooth, but it doesn't work, as it says the drivers were not found. How can I get the drivers in order to make it work?

Asked by: AluRaz
The Onyx Studio 2 does not need any special drivers or settings toggled to get connected to computers/laptops or any Bluetooth enabled devices. If ever the device asks for drivers, please perform the following: For Windows Operating Systems, you just need to update the Bluetooth Hardware of the computer/laptop. ** Go to Control Panel ** Go to Hardware and Sound ** Under Devices and Printers select Device manager ** In Device Manager select Network/Bluetooth Adapters ** Once there Update the Drivers For Mac OS, you would just need to update your operating system to the latest version.

My speaker keeps shutting off and its fully charged can u tell me why

Asked by: Stephanie
The ONYX STUDIO 2 shows lights as it is charging, and all lights go out when it is done charging, letting you know that you have a full charge. This can be done when the unit is ON or OFF. Now, it is possible that you have a defective unit that is not taking a charge, and as a result, shutting off after a couple of minutes.
