Awesome Sound
I was upgrading my husband's phone, & saw they had the Onyx Studio 3 speakers on sale for a ridiculous price. I got 2 (they pair together) for less than the price of one. I had an original Onyx Studio, but the granddaughter's let the rabbit run loose, & he destroyed the charging cord. New cords don't charge the speaker. OMG! I'm so happy that I decided to buy them. It's awesome having the sound through the whole house without blasting the eardrums.

Hello HK, I'm using bluetooth connection to hear music with my Onyx Studio 3 but I can hear hissing sound when I'm not playing any music, is it really not normal or every HK Onyx Studio 3 have the same issue? Thanks.
If you have the volume on the ONYX STUDIO 3 cranked with no music playing, you will hear a quiet hissing sound. Turning down the volume will reduce the noise. This is normal.

Can I have the power cable for the Onyx Studio 3 plugged in all the time, or do I need to unplug it when its fully charged?
Yes, the ONYX STUDIO 3 same with all our portable speakers can be used while plugged in and charging. You would even only get the full power of the speaker when operated while plugged in. This will not harm your ONYX STUDIO 3 and its battery in any way.

I bought the onyx studio3 about 1week ago and I just noticed now that when im not playing any music I can hear a bit of a hissing sound when im near the speakers although you cant hear it when you're a far. Is this normal? already tried adjusting volume
What you are experiencing with the ONYX STUDIO 3 is not normal. Please check the power adapter cable if it's properly connected and also try to move the speaker to a different location to verify that this is not caused by wireless interference. If this doesn't help, you may try doing a reset on your ONYX STUDIO 3 by turning it on and holding down Phone button & Volume + at the same time until it shuts off. When you power it back on, it has been reset. Would it damage the speaker to have it in my bathroom while taking a shower?
It's not safe to use the ONYX STUDIO 3 in the shower as this is not a water resistant Bluetooth speaker designed to handle shower environments. Steam can lead to condensation and if it gets heavy enough, it will cause damage to the speaker.

Hey HK, what's the difference between onyx studio 2 and onyx studio 3? I have heard onyx studio 2 sound better
The ONYX STUDIO 3 and ONYX STUDIO 2 have identical drivers and are both rated at 60W. The difference is, if the ONYX STUDIO 3 is running on battery, it will only output half of that rated wattage (half as loud) to save battery. You can only use the full 60W when running with the power cable plugged in. Secondly, the ONYX STUDIO3 offers Wireless Dual Sound. This allows two ONYX STUDIO 3’s to wirelessly connect to each other, or to the GO+PLAY and ONYX MINI, to play music out of them simultaneously.

When both mine and my gf's iPhones are connected (bt) the music gets interrupted too easily. F.ex. Spotify from her phone was playing, I too was connected, I get a text which stops the music to play my message sound loudly through the speaker. Normal?
Yes. The ONYX STUDIO 3 will play audio from any device that it is connected to. I would recommend disconnecting the other device when not in use to avoid having audio interruptions when playing music.
