KIA and Harman Kardon
A new chapter in the History of Excellence

  • The addition of Harman Kardon premium audio to the Kia line-up marks an extension of a 15-year partnership between HARMAN and Kia that has produced some of the industry’s most technologically advanced and best reviewed audio systems. Harman engineers work with Kia during the earliest stages of vehicle development, spending hundreds of hours fine-tuning the audio system specifically for the vehicle’s cabin size, materials and seating configurations. The result is a system that enhances the driving experience with the true emotional response previously attained with only the finest home-audio equipment, transfixing listeners with 360 degree spatial envelopment and rich, high resolution sound.

REVIEWS

2016 Kia Sportage “The new Kia Sportage marks the latest product resulting of the cooperation between HARMAN and Kia. According to the Hi-Fi expert, the Sportage is going to offer a best-in-class sound experience thanks to the patented Clari-Fi technology. The Clari-Fi technology improves the quality of compressed audio sources.” Götz Fuchslocher automobil-produktion
2016 Kia Optima “You can opt for a Harman Kardon premium sound system with 590 Watt, 10 speakers, external power amplifier and the technologies ClariFi (improves audio quality) and QuantumLogic Surround (transforms audio signals into 7.1 surround sound).” autosieger
2016 Kia Optima EX “When it comes to listening quality, a 10-speaker Harman Kardon sound system is available. Included with this is the firm’s Clari-Fi technology, which undoes the damage caused by audio compression, so the MP3s on your iPod or smartphone sound much better. Additionally, this system comes with Harman’s QuantumLogic system, which creates a pretty convincing surround-sound experience.” autoguide
Optima A new-for-2016 feature is a Harman Kardon 630-watt, 14-speaker audio system with Quantum Logic surround sound and Clari-Fi technology. Clari-Fi basically adds in the missing audio information from compressed digital audio, and while it sounds like a black art that could result in horrible artifacts it’s actually extremely effective at making your MP3 and other digital files sound like full-bodied recordings. Karl Brauer, Forbes
Optima Oh, and the ”QuantumLogic” Harman Kardon stereo really is brilliant, with crisp tones and clear bass coming from even older songs, a product of the brand’s Clari-Fi restoration technology, which revives lost tones from digitally compressed music. Andrew Hard, Digital Trends
Optima …and Kia’s first offering of Harman Kardon’s most trick QLS surround sound system. This (also pure magic) super stereo has the ability to extract signals from an original recording and redistribute them for a clearer and more detailed sound; it uses an amazing patented technology that can rebuild audio signals lost in the digital compression process. Jean Jennings, Jean Knows Cars
Sportage The 320W 8-speaker Harman Kardon audio system is excellent. Given their expertise in speakers and their Clari-Fi technology, which excels at improving the quality of compressed music (satellite radio being the worst offender), Harman in-car audio routinely sounds better than anything else in the market. If there’s a sound system worth springing for over what’s on the base trim, it’s one made by Harman. Chance Kinney , Chip Chick
Sportage As for the Harman Kardon branded sound system in the Sportage, it's the best system available in a compact CUV. Tuan Huynh, Tech Radar
Sportage But wait, there’s more: A 320-watt Harman Kardon premium audio system sits at the top of the Sportage’s Hi-Fi mountain. Built with eight speakers, including a subwoofer, an amplifier and their new, and quite amazing, Clari-Fi music restoration technology, it’s worth the extra coinage. Auto Evolution
