1. What types of amps are used in the AVR?
The AVR 3700 amps are class A/B
2. The AVR 3700 just shuts down?
There are five possible reasons for the receiver shutting down. 1. There is a problem internally with the receiver. 2. There is a problem with one or more of your speakers. 3. There is a problem with one or more of your speaker wires. 4. There is a problem with the speaker wiring done on your system. 5. The unit is overheating. No ventilation. First I would suggest that you check the wiring at every speaker terminal at the back of your receiver and at the back of your speakers. A single strand of speaker wire crossing from one terminal to another would be enough to cause the amp to shut down or go into PROTECT. If you do not find any problems with any of the wiring, you should disconnect all speakers from your receiver. If the receiver continues to go into PROTECT, the problem is in the receiver and you will need to bring it in for service. However, if it turns on, the problem is elsewhere. Begin reconnecting one speaker at a time.
3. I’m not getting any audio.
Check to make sure all connections are secure and tight. Check the length of the HDMI cable. Cable lengths over 10 feet may introduce problems. Make sure you are not using and adapters or splitter boxes (DVI to HDMI, etc.). Check with other devices and see if the issue still occurs. If it does not, the issue may be with the specific source. Verify all input settings on the AVR correspond with your connections. You may want to try a processor reset detailed in the manual.
4. How do I setup EZSet?
Go into your AVR setup menu, then select “Speaker Setup.” Select “Automatic Setup – EzSet/EQ” and then select “Continue.” Select the number of speakers in your system. Select “5.1” if no surround back or front height speakers are present or if you will be using the Assigned Amp channels for multizone operation. The test will begin. Make sure that the room is quiet while the test noise is playing through the speakers. When the test finishes, select “Continue,” then select “View Settings” to see the results of the EzSet/EQ process, or select “Done” to exit. Please note, if there are fewer than five main speakers in your system, do not use the EzSet/EQ process.
