Hi, We have an older version of the amplifier harman/kardon hlc 495i and want to replace the lound speaker. Loudspeackers that they can still wired to our old amplifier. Are your model MAS Speakers compatible with the old ampliflier, eg.g. watts?

Asked by: Hans Schuster
The MAS Speakers can handle up to 65 watts per channel. So as long as your amplifier has a power output of 65 watts per channel or less, these speakers will work fine.

i have a bose surround sound pair of speakers with A 5.1 surround receiver . can i add these mas speakers with the included cord to my receiver to give it more sound ? will it work?

Asked by: khalil
If your receiver can accommodate up to 7 speakers for a 7.1 setup, then you can add the MAS SPEAKERS to your existing 5.1 speaker setup. If your receiver can only do 5.1, your best bet is to contact the manufacturer of your receiver. They can tell you if there is any way to add these additional speakers to it without doing any harm.

Can these be combined with the setup of a 5.1 speaker system, the Sat-TS11/the HKTS11 to get a 7.1 speaker system?

Asked by: deltatee
Yes, you can. If your AVR can accommodate up to 7 speakers for a 7.1 setup, then you can add the speakers to your existing 5.1 speaker setup.

for the purpose of listening music, do you recomend it over the HK-SAT-TS11 speakers ?

Asked by: papijoe
The SAT-TS11 speakers can handle up to 120W RMS per speaker compared to the MAS Speakers which can handle up to 130W RMS. With that said, it would really depend on what speaker system you would like to setup. If you are looking to setup a 5.1 speaker system, the Sat-TS11/the HKTS11 would be a better choice. If you are looking to setup a stereo system which only uses 2.1 setup, then you are better of with the MAS speakers. Just a reminder, your amplifier should not exceed the power that the speakers can handle(i.e 120W per channel amp for the SAT-TS11/HKTS11, 130W per channel for the MAS speakers).

What are these speakers use for or with for your music system or other devices so I will know why I should purchase these ,thank you

Asked by: Ladydi
They are simply a set of passive speakers. They can be used with a stereo receiver, or as front and/or rear speakers for a surround sound receiver. But you cannot connect a device like a phone, or anything like that, directly to these speakers. These speakers require an amplifier/receiver in order to work.
