Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME Bought this receiver a few weeks ago & installed it today. Wow, it sounds awesome & looks sweet! Mainly purchased to use with my Dual CS 5000 Turntable, Shure M97xE Cartridge & 2 Klipsch R-24F Speakers. Crisp, clear, warm & powerful sound, pushing these speakers excellently. Super happy with this purchase & definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice sound I bought this for the phono plug and it was worth it. Nice sound. I'm running JBL L100's & L36's out of the back & playing both together. Easier to use than the audio/video series of stereos that they sell (I have them too). I like this Harman better than any of the others that I own (have a few).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great product mine doesn't cut off for no reason, or get hot at -35 db to -45 db. also it has an internal cooling fan that kicks on at higher volumes -10 to +10 db. (max volume) it pushes my jvc 15 (sp-7700) speakers (8 ohms) and a set of bose 701 all (6 ohms) at once. only reason it would cut out is if your ohms rating is wrong for the stereo. (6-8ohms) 2 or 4 ohms is too much resistance and 16 ohms is not enough and will not play as loud. i love this amp i am one to put it to the test playing it full blast for hours, and it holds up very well. yes it will cut out if you crank it up for 5 mins turn it down 30 seconds then turn it up back and forth. fan cuts off when you turn it down and if you turn it up right away it does not give enough cool down time before fan turns back on... so if you gonna do it loud keep it loud or leave it down for about 10 mins between sudden bursts. (thats with all audio systems though) older systems did not have self protect mode from heat. and i cant speak for the older hk model cause i don't have one i got the hk3770. which was an upgrade from my pioneer 1986 yeah sa-1270. electronics are all sensitive!!!! this is a bi amp capable amp for bi amp speakers or you can run 2 sets that are not bi amped

Can a graphic equalizer be hooked up to a hk3770?

Asked by: Denny280
Unfortunately, it cannot be done since the HK3770 does not have PRE OUTS. What you can possibly do is connect the graphic equalizer in between the source and the receiver.

I have just purchased HK3370 and being the first receiver I have ever owned I do have a couple of questions: 1. What is the purpose of network connection(i can play songs from devices via bluetooth) 2. Can i use an external HDD?

Asked by: alexr
The HK 3770's network connection allows you to stream internet radio and audio files (MP3 and WMA) from DLNA®-compatible devices. Bluetooth connection is available but does not require network connection. The USB connection is used to play audio files from Apple devices and flash drives (FAT format) only. The USB input does not support external HDDs.

Can the auto shutoff be disabled? This receiver only stays on for 8 hours. I live in city and play background music most of day. At the very least it should be adjustable up to 10 hours.

Asked by: sutton
Unfortunately, this is fixed and cannot be changed.

Bluetooth is included here, which version? is it Aptx standard for minimum compression? What sort of circuitry techniques are used for maximum res audio quality ? Can speakers be connected directly? Which speaker rating is recommended ? thanks ron

Asked by: ronphi63
Dear Ron, Thank you for your questions, I will try to answer them as best as possible: - Yes, the HK3770 has Bluetooth, this is version 4.0 - Sadly, APTX is not supported by the HK 3770 - Speakers can be connected directly to the receiver, either by inserting the cable directly, or with speakerplugs on the cable ( banana plugs ) - The HK3770 has 2 x 120W channels @ 6/8 ohm In regards to your question about which circuitry techniques are used, we are not able to answer that question here, since that is proprietary information. I hope this answers your questions, but of course if you need more information, do not hesitate to contact us on customer.support@harman.com, we'll be happy to assist you

Hi, I would like to ask you what source needs to be chosen on HK3770 if I would like to play music through Harman Remote? Thanks David

Asked by: Deff
The Harman Kardon Remote App controls virtually all the functions of HK 3770 that are connected to the same network as the device that has the app installed. You can select any source that is connected to the HK 3770.
