This might be due to an isolated Wi-Fi network. In order to resolve this issue, you will need to disable your AP (access point) Isolation Setting, also known as 'Client Isolation' or 'Guest Mode' on your router. Please refer to your router documentation to learn how to disable AP isolation. If you are attempting to connect an OMNI device through a guest, hotel or public network with AP/client isolation enabled, then you will be unable to set up your OMNI device. \r\n\r\nIf you are attempting to connect through a Wi-Fi extender, please check your extender settings. You will need to disable AP Isolation on your Wi-Fi extender and make sure Multicast Forward is enabled, before setting up your OMNI device to work with your Wi-Fi network."},{"attributes":{"type":"FAQ__kav","url":"/services/data/v38.0/sobjects/FAQ__kav/ka01Y00000040eRQAQ"},"Title":"I am upgrading the firmware on my Omni 10+, Omni 20+ and Omni 50+. The Wi-Fi signal can be measured in the Send us feedback section of the Harman Kardon Controller app, inside the Settings menu found on the left hand side bar. Open the Send us feedback page. Now you will see an email template with some information shown at the bottom. This information includes our new Wi-Fi meter, which indicates signal strength for the OMNI+ speaker, connected to your home Wi-Fi router. To get the best signal strength, our advice is to keep your OMNI+ signal strength over -65 dB (lower figure is better, so -45 db is better than -65 dB) to get the best audio experience."},{"attributes":{"type":"FAQ__kav","url":"/services/data/v38.0/sobjects/FAQ__kav/ka01Y00000040wzQAA"},"Title":"Can I use my OMNI+ speaker without the HK Controller App?","Id":"ka01Y00000040wzQAA","ArticleNumber":"000004420","ArticleType":"FAQ__kav","Question__c":"Can I use my OMNI+ speaker without the HK Controller App?","Answer__c":"Streaming via Bluetooth or direct aux in connection are supported without the HK Controller app. For OMNI+ speakers that you already have placed in a room, they are capable of using either Spotify Connect or Chromecast built-in without the need of using the HK Controller app. Use only the HK Controller app for setting up the speakers for OMNI+."},{"attributes":{"type":"FAQ__kav","url":"/services/data/v38.0/sobjects/FAQ__kav/ka01Y00000040gXQAQ"},"Title":"I'm having trouble with setting up a Wi-Fi extender network with my Omni 10+, Omni 20+ or Omni 50+","Id":"ka01Y00000040gXQAQ","ArticleNumber":"000005886","ArticleType":"FAQ__kav","Question__c":"I'm having trouble with setting up a Wi-Fi extender network with my Omni 10+, Omni 20+ or Omni 50+","Answer__c":"Make sure you disable AP/Client isolation on your Access Point / Extender and that Multicast forwarding is not disabled between the W-Fi networks. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why did I uy an Onyx again? Bought both this and an Onyx. This for me and the Onyx for my fiance and I to have on the go. (We live on the shore so we go to the beach a lot). This sounds exactly like the much more expensive Onyx leaving me to wonder if it's actually worth the extra $200. They're both amazing speaker. Bass is excellent (not overpowering) and mids and highs are clear. The app could be a better though, but we don't really use that much anyways.

Hi, I have a Onyx 4 at home and I´m thinking about buy a Omni 20 speaker too. My question is, It`s possible to paired this two different models (Onyx 4 and Omni 20) and use de party mode playin the same music at same time?

Asked by: Possible owner
Unfortunately the Onyx studio 4 and the Omni 20 cannot get paired together since the Onyx studio 4 uses the connect + feature which the Omni 20 does not have.

Why hasn't Harmon/Kardon added support for Apple Music subscriptions for play over wifi? I can play them directly from the Apple Music app over wifi, but not through the controller app.. which keeps me from being able to control multiple speakers in home.

Asked by: J__lee
Unfortunately, Apple did not provide the added support to add Apple Music to the HK Controller App.

I just bought a HK OMNI 20 speaker a year ago. Now i found that when i increase volume to around 80%, the speaker will come out some noise like the speaker crack sound when the songs with strong bass. Isn't it can't support strong bass?

Asked by: Faradayko
That is normal. Driving too much bass on high volume levels to the OMNI 20, or to any speaker in general, causes distortion and is usually a sign to lower down your volume. If you are using an EQ to boost bass, please set it to flat. This should minimize the distortion at louder volumes.
