Aura is rated 3.75 out of 5 by 44.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great addition to any Studio I brought this speaker as I had previously brought an older model Onyx. I love the sound and quality of the speaker that I felt the need to add this to my home studio. I am an audiophile and don't buy into the overpriced items endorsed by celebrities. I buy pure audio quality and Harmon Kardon gets it. It does add the 360 room feel without having running wires all over the place. Overall, satisfied with my purchased, and look forward to the future generation of HK products. Just one question, there is another model Aura studio that doesn't feature the AirPlay but does offer a microphone to answer calls, where can people purchase that one?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product. Great Vendor. I just received my new speaker. Quite easy to set up. Sound is quite good. My other choice was the B&W A5 or A7. While the sound was much better with the A7, it was twice the price. The Aura supports airplay and Bluetooth. A big plus for me since we have a divided household between Mac and Android. I would buy again. No regrets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Audio Swiss Army Knife Use it for streaming music + hdtv. Only gripe were the instructions for setting up; too cryptic & not helpful enough. Pricey but performance beat expectations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic sound quality The Aura has amazing sound quality that fills up the room. It's probably one of the only speakers that has a subwoofer/bass. A lot of outer speakers just doesn't cut it. All you hear is the treble and you just don't hear the full sound of a song. The only negative I have is that I work in a multi unit space and since this is a wireless/Bluetooth connected speaker someone else also has a HK speaker and since all the speakers start with HK someone else connected to my speaker without their knowledge and cranked up the volume which wasn't good. We need to be able to change the names of our speaker or password protect it so this doesn't happen again. It's happened multiple times to me.

What is difference between "Standby mode" and "Off mode"? And how can I know that? I want to make sure my AURA completely power off without unplug.

Asked by: PongpanS
When the unit is in Standby mode, a connected device can wake it up and it will begin performing. When it is OFF, nothing can connect to it until you turn it ON again. So, for example, if it is OFF and you check your phone, which is connected to the AURA via Bluetooth, you will notice that the phone can't find the AURA and can't activate it. Once you turn the AURA back on, your phone will be able to see and connect to it.

Remote control? For Aura

Asked by: Arvin
The AURA does not have the capability for remote control. This unit is primarily for wireless connection, like Bluetooth and AirPlay. In both cases the AURA would be controlled by the device, in essence, giving remote control ability.

to hard wire, do I just plug Aux cord from speaker to Aux on tv?

Asked by: daniel 36
Your TV must have an analog audio output. It will usually be called Audio Output, Headphone, or Line Out. Connect this output to the AUX input on the AURA, and you will be good to go.

HI my speaker has a hard time turning on I have to keep moving it around. Also it will not work in plugs that I know are working. What could make this happen?

Asked by: Arlene
It sounds like there may be a connection issue. Check to be sure that the power cord is inserted all the way into the AURA, making a solid connection. If it is making a solid connection and is still not working, please submit a case at They will gladly assist you.
