The Harman Kardon® AVR 2700 audio/video receiver has the immense connectivity and astonishing sound output to turn your living room into the kind of home entertainment center once reserved for movie moguls and dotcom billionaires. Its eight HDMI® inputs, including one input on the front panel and 4K compatibility, ensure connectivity to all of your Blu-ray™ disc, HDTV and video-game sources, while its analog and digital audio input jacks keep you connected to all your legacy components. Built-in AirPlay and DLNA® 1.5 certified connectivity empower you to play almost every song on your computer, tablet and mobile devices and do it in surround sound regardless of the number of channels in the original recording, thanks to our exclusive Logic 7 processing. To top it all off, an intuitive, high-definition menu system, remote control, available mobile app and EzSet/EQ™ calibration make operation and setup seem too easy for a device this advanced. Powered by an eco-friendly, digital power supply that delivers superior performance and 100 watts per channel without the weight of conventional designs, this receiver will not only fill your room with crisp, clear Harman Kardon sound but also make you feel as though you are with the musicians or filmmakers who are creating it. No ventilation.\r\n\r\nFirst, check the wiring at every speaker terminal at the back of your receiver and at the back of your speakers. A single strand of speaker wire crossing from one terminal to another would be enough to cause the amp to shut down or go into PROTECT.\r\n\r\nIf you do not find any problems with any of the wiring, you should disconnect all speakers from your receiver. If the receiver continues to go into PROTECT, the problem is in the receiver. Please submit a case on the Contact Us page. They will be able to assist you.\r\n\r\nHowever, if it turns on, the problem is elsewhere. Begin reconnecting one speaker at a time. Eventually you will connect a speaker that will cause the receiver to shut down. At this point you have found your culprit.\r\n\r\nOn the other hand, it may just be overheating. You must have at least 2 - 3 inches of space between the top of the unit and any shelf or component above the unit. The unit should not be inside a sealed compartment when being used. The unit must be able to breath. There are very powerful amps in these receivers. If they run too hot, they will shut down. An external fan can help this.","ArticleType":"FAQ__kav"},{"attributes":{"type":"Knowledge__kav","url":"/services/data/v45.0/sobjects/Knowledge__kav/ka21Y000000SX0wQAG"},"Title":"What HDCP version is featured in the AVR and BDS models?","Id":"ka21Y000000SX0wQAG","ArticleNumber":"000010721","Question__c":"What HDCP version is featured in the AVR and BDS models?","Answer__c":"All AVR models up to and including 151S, 161S and 171S feature HDCP version 1.4.\r\n(High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection).\r\nThis is also true for BDS 280, 580, 280S and 580S.\r\n\r\nIt is not possible to update to version 2.2 with any software/firmware update, as this requires a hardware change.\r\n\r\nFuture models may feature version 2.2, made for UHD/4k content.","ArticleType":"FAQ__kav"}]}
